Advent Calendar Wreath

Today I totally have an awesome project to share. So as I have seen some of my favorite bloggers say, "Grab a cuppa whatever and sit back and relax." I have a few photos to share.

Last month when There She Goes released the new set No Peeking! illustrated by Torico I was in the midst of writing goals, ILPs, report cards, and parent/teacher conferences that I just had to let my DT obligation take a back seat (sadly). I had this idea that I wanted to try to make an Advent Calendar. Well as I started to investigate what that really was I decided to make a pseudo Advent Calendar. I came up with the idea to make a wreath. My idea has been totally worth the wait and the work. Actually it looks like a lot of work, but it really was simple.

Supplies needed:
~ Stryofoam circle (I used medium, next one I'll use the larger circle)
~ Wired ribbon (4 yards)
~ Glue Dots, straight pins, glue gun (or whatever your favorite glue may be)
~ 1 sheet white cardstock (8 1/2 x 11 will be big enough)
~ 5 sheets patterened paper (4 x 6 for each sheet is plenty)
~ Ornament (optional)
~ Bling (optional)
~ Scissors

Once I stamped all 25 images I colored and cut out each image. I then stamped the squares and circles and cut them out as well. I then took the syrofoam circle and wrapped the red ribbon all around and pinned it down and attached the bow. I then layed out all the circles and squares so that I would know that all the images would fit.

From there I attached all the images, numbers, as well as stamping some of the numbers. This is my final product. I think it's totally so awesome. This is probably the largest product I have ever taken on and I can't wait to hang it on my door.

Isn't it just gorgeous? I totally love it!! Here are a few close up photos:

I hope you like my project as much as I do. Honestly it didn't take as long as I thought it would. It really was quite calming to color and cut. No Peeking! is totally worth the purchase.

I appreciate your stopping by. I can't wait to hear your thoughts. Have an awesome day!!
