There She Goes Release Week | Day Three

We have come to the end our sneaks this month at There She Goes. Today's set is so awesome. I only chose one image to ink up today. I so look forward to coloring more of this set and helping my cousin create scrapbook pages for her children's day at the zoo!!

You LOVED her Zoo-pendous set, and well, everything else she has created, but I REALLY think Melyssa has KNOCKED this one out of the park!! Whether making a card for a boy or girl, man or woman, or scrapbooking your latest trip to the zoo, there is something in her new Jungle Out There set for you!! Full of the CUTEST animals, and most HILARIOUS sentiments, what’s NOT to love??

Jungle Out There is a 6x8 set that includes a total of 20 stamps and will sell for $24.00.

There She Goes Release Week | Day Two

I am so excited about today's release. I am in love with another stamp set. It's just so precious. I loved the set so much that I made two cards for today's release because I just couldn't decide which image I liked the most.

I think we can all remember back to a time when we idolized our parents, most of us still do, and we wanted to grow up to be JUST like them. I mean, what girl HASN’T put on their mom’s shoes, and what boy hasn’t worn Dad’s tie? Just in time for Mother and Father’s Day, Torico has illustrated the CUTEST dress up set I have EVER seen!!

When I Grow Up is a 4x6 set that includes a total of 15 stamps and will sell for $15.00.

Theresa Winslow-Girl

Isn't she just darling? I just fell in love with her. I did not add a sentiment because I just couldn't settle on what it was I wanted it to say. I love all the sentiments. Heck I may even consider sending this to my mother - her 70th birthday is a couple of months away and she would love this.

Theresa Winslow-Boy

How can you resist this little guy? Isn't he just the cutest? I just had to color him up and make a card. I'm not into dads so I added the dog from the In All The World stamp set. That's what I love about TSG stamps - you can interchange them and create something totally unique.

Would you like to win the new When I Grow Up stamp set? Here is what you need to do- visit the Trendsetter’s blogs that are participating in each of the blog hop challenges below and comment on their creations as you go. Tuesday Morning Sketches #139

Good Morning Crafters -

It's a busy day today!! Here at Tuesday Morning Sketches we have a great sketch and a new sponsor. DT member Jessica designed today's sketch and our sponsor is My Creative Classroom. I've taken a couple of classes from them and have enjoyed them. Be sure to check out their blog and their list of upcoming classes. What's cool is that one person will win a free seat to a class of their choice.

For my card today I used a Workshop on the Go Kit called Mayberry. I bought this set and today is the first day it's seen ink. I feel like I'm just obsessed with buying and then I never use. I need to get better at this and use a lot more of the gazillions of stamp sets that I have.

TMS-#142

I spent part of yesterday with TSG DT member, Karen Giron and she taught me how to take better photos and edit them. I hope this looks better than some of the photos I've posted. I think I still have some work to do because it's my old tired eyes having to make all the adjustments!! Either way, I like my card. It came out a lot better than I expected.

Here is today's sketch:
Thanks for stopping by. Be sure to stop by the rest of the DT to see their amazing creations. I can't wait to see what you make.

Have an awesome day!

Flowers of Happiness

Good Evening Crafters -

I am a wee bit late with this post. This past week was There She Goes Again! week at There She Goes. I so wanted to play along, but life got in the way for me. I had the images all colored up and just needed to get them onto a card - and I never got that far.

Flowers of Happiness is the name of this set and it was one of my first sets of stamps from There She Goes. I really enjoy coloring flowers (they're the easiest - and my favorite). This set is great because there are 3 different types of flowers, leaves, and great sentiments.

Flowers-of-Happiness

This coming week is release week and is this ever going to be a fabulous week. Be sure to come back for some great new stamp sets.

Isn't that ribbon just yummy? It was part of my March Ribbon Kit of the Month from The Ribbon Carousel. I think I need to get more - 1 yard is never enough!!

Thanks for stopping by. Have an awesome rest of your weekend.

Tuesday Morning Sketches #138

Good Morning Everyone -

It's a great day at Tuesday Morning Sketches. It's also the first day of Spring - yeah!! I hope that we don't get snow, but it's so cold here tonight you never know what will blow in. This week we have a fabulous sketch by DT member Kathy and a fabulous returning sponsor - The Stamping Boutique.

We are all very excited at TMS - we have reached 500 followers. Now if we could have that many participants how fabulous that would be! To celebrate 500 followers Melissa will send a randomly drawn winner a small prize package containing some ribbons, buttons and a few other fun little embellishments. I will also send the winner a surprise. Here's how to be in the drawing:

1) Play along with the challenge
2) Visit each of the DT blogs to leave a little love
3) Like us on our Facebook page (see sidebar link - on TMS blog)
4) Come back here to link your project and leave a comment here that says I DID IT!!

For my card today I needed a birthday card for my teammate. Her birthday was yesterday and I totally forgot! I really like how this card came out. I would've never thought to put green and purple together and I think it looks awesome! I also learned to use the Cricut Craftroom and pulled the ovals together to make one cut. I still need a bit of work in getting the scallops behind it to be a bit more tighter, but it works.

I hope that you liked my card. I appreciate your stopping by.

Have an awesome day!!

Stampbook Saturday - There She Goes

Hi All, I am back with photos of Kaylee, my cousin Andrea's daughter and my Stampbook Saturday post. One thing about Andrea is that she is very generous with her children's photos. I am making my own scrapbook of Kaylee. I also made this page to show Andrea how easy and how much better it is to make scrapbook pages with stamps versus stickers.

I saw this card from former Trendsetter, Jackie Rockwell and thought World's Best was the perfect stamp set for these photos. Plus I wanted to show Andrea that you don't always have to color stamped images. TSG stamps are very versatile and there a lot of stamps that just require a stamp pad or are optimal for paper piecing.

So for my scrapbook page I stamped the stems on designer paper and the flowers using the silhouette stamp and the color Cotton Candy from CTMH.

SS-Kaylee

Isn't she the most darling little girl? I tell you she truly is the happiest baby I have ever met. She always has a smile - even when she wakes up. The only time she gets fussy is when she wants to eat (who doesn't right).

Thanks for stopping by. I can't wait to hear your thoughts. Have an awesome day.

Anything But a Card

I have had so much fun hosting the There She Goes blog this week. I'm excited that beginning this month Dollar Friday Find was changed to Anything But a Card - now I'm not limited!! Although this project didn't cost me too much (less than $12) it looks like so much more.

For my project today I used the fabulous The Fairy Best stamp set. My dearest cousin Andrea had a little girl about 9 months ago and her name is Kaylee. She is the happiest baby I've ever met. This is for Kaylee. I had to pick the fairies and the colors pink and green. It's befitting for this beautiful little girl.

Sit back, relax and enjoy the photos. I can't wait to hear what you think of my project. I'm sorry that the photos aren't the best, I am still learning to take photos and edit them.

Isn't this just darling. I also want to give credit to where I got the idea. In the new Close To My Heart catalog there is a photo introducing the Lucy paper pack and they made a banner, but mine is better because I have TSG stamps on mine!!

Thanks for stopping by. Have an awesome day!!

There She Goes Wednesday Trends

As promised - it's another project for There She Goes. Today is my Wednesday Trends Post. I totally love how this card came out.

I like seeing cards where crafters have put backgrounds like clouds, leaves, etc. on their cards. I managed to do clouds, but one afternoon I was using my Cricut and thought about the negative cut that was left when I cut out the image I wanted. I thought why not use the negative to make an image. It's the same concept as making a mask or stencil. So I gave it a try and this is what I came up with. I love the subtle effect. It gives it some texture and doesn't over power the image.

Love-Birds-Finished

I think it's just darling. I used Love Birds. I hope that you'll head over to the There She Goes blog and see the tutorial I put together.

I also used the Mojo Monday 232 sketch for the layout of my card. Thanks for the inspiration.

I can't wait to hear what you think of my card. Thanks for stopping by. Have an awesome day!!

Tuesday Morning Sketches #137

Good Morning Crafters -

It's another fabulous Tuesday Morning Sketches day and a gorgeous day in Denver. I think our spring has sprung! We have a fabulous sketch and a fabulous sponsor - There She Goes. This week is also a judged challenge, so in addition to the sketch your card must also be monochromatic.

For my card I used By The Sea. I stamped the image, colored with Copics, and then I covered my image with Versamark and used clear detail embossing powder over my image to give it a glossy look. I was going to go with blues and my blue turned into brown. I love how this card came out. I hope you do to.

TMS-#140

Boy don't I wish I could be sitting on this beach. I like how when I cut the image apart that it still came together so that one could visually see the scene. I do hope that you'll join us at TMS. Now head on over to the rest of the DT to see their amazing creations: Angela, Cheryl, Dawn, Jessica, Kathy, Marie, and Melissa

Here is this week's sketch. Come and play!!

Thank You

This school year our school took on a new program - Home Visits. I have completed nine visits and the parents rolled out the red carpet. I feel like a heel because I have not sent a personal thank you for all they have done. Although I have said thank you, nothing really says it like a personal card. I sat down this weekend and colored the school house image from my all time favorite stamp set from There She Goes - Believe In You. All the families that I have visited will get this card from me.

I know you all hear me say that TSG stamps are all my favorite, but Believe In You was what my pitch to Jessica, owner of TSG and she made my stamp set come true. I love this set because I use it all the time with my students.

Believe-In-You

Because I need to create a few of these beauties I wanted to make the card fairly simple. In blog hoping I found this fabulous sketch from Freshly Made Sketches - Challenge #25. I decided to play along. I love the simplicity of this sketch and my card went together fairly quickly. I do like it!
I would also like to send a shout out to my new followers. I appreciate you're being here. I haven't figured out how to see who is new - so my apologies for not understanding blogger. Thank you for becoming a follower.

Thanks for stopping by. Have an awesome one!!

March - Pansy

I can't believe it - three posts in one day! I went over to the Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge #159 and decided to play along. The fact that I spent the majority of the weekend coloring I have many images now that I can make into cards. So I'm excited that I get to play along.

This week Heather challenged us to make a card using 3 colors from the inspiration photo. I hope I selected the right colors. I also used Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #153 for my layout.

Pansy

I used Flourishes A Year in Flowers I - March Pansy. Aren't they just beautiful? I can't wait for the flowers to start blooming here. It was a gorgeous 70 degree day and we're getting snow tomorrow?? For this card I used all scraps so I have no idea where the papers came from except the news print looking paper. I like how this card came out. I don't normally like to put sentiments on my cards because then I can use them for any occasion.

I hope you like this card. I appreciate your stopping by. Have an awesome evening!!

Liebster Awards

I've been a bit ignorant this past week. Two very special people in blog land awarded me with a Liebster Blog Award. I really didn't take a look until last night. I was struggling to sleep so I got back up and really looked at what the award is. I want to say thank you to Jessi at One Crafty Mama and Cheryl at Ink Up. A lot of times we spend more time on the same crafters and new crafters ever get noticed. There are so many talented people out there. Jessi and Cheryl are two of my favorites.

Well, in reading this I learned

Tuesday Morning Sketches #136

Hello Crafters -

Today is going to be one gorgeous day in Denver...but tomorrow I hear we're expecting snow! I shouldn't be surprised March is our heaviest snow month. I just want Spring!!

Along with today's gorgeous day it's a Tuesday Morning Sketches day. We have a wonderful sketch from DT member Marie. Our sponsor is Guylou's Inimitability. My apologies to Guylou's I had a darling digi from them to use, but I had printer issues and just wasn't able to get it fixed.

I had a fabulous weekend. I went away and did some amazing coloring. I can't wait to share some of the images I worked on. I love going to crops, but I hate dragging all my stuff out - so I simply traveled with my Copics, my stamps, paper and ink. I colored and colored and colored. Today's image comes from Back in 10 from There She Goes. I adore this little image. I would love to go out and chase butterflies.

TMS-#139

I hope that you'll take some time to hop on over to the rest of the DT and check out their gorgeous creations.

Thanks for stopping by. Have an awesome day!!
