Flourishes Blue Bells

At least I hope these flowers are blue bells. You know there are just days when you want to make a card just to make a card. Today was that day!! I miss coloring flowers - flowers make me happy. So I pulled out this gorgeous set from Flourishes called With Gratitude. I also thought I'd play along with the Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge #166 since I haven't played in a long time.

Heather is challenging players this week to a game of Bingo - not my favorite game, but how can I resist? I chose the bottom row of blue, flowers, and embossing. I bought this embossing folder probably a year ago and have never used it! How perfect is it for this flower set?

Blue-Bells

I hope you enjoy my card. I love it! It was soothing to just create. Thanks for stopping by. Have an awesome evening.

Torico’s final set this month is SURE to impress the camera hound in us all! Photography is a part of everyday life, and a growing hobby for many, and how much more FUN would it be if you had a camera like one of THESE??!! A picture truly is worth a 1000 words, and with summer vacations, graduations, and well, EVERYTHING, coming up, what a PERFECT set for the photographer in us all.  Full of cute sayings, and TONS of images to create the PERFECT card/scrapbook page/project, you really can’t go wrong!!

Oh Snap is a 6x8 set that includes 33 stamps, and will sell for $24.

I have to say, I really like how this card came out. When I began searching for paper I went through some blog candy paper that I won and up came these three sheets. I like the combination and set them aside and forgot about them. Then when I began making my card I went through all my paper and stressed!! I was about to give up when I moved my Spellbinders dies and the paper surfaced and viola I have a fabulous card. Don't you just love how things come together?

Oh-Snap---Winslow

Would you like to win the new Oh Snap stamp set? Our second of THREE Sets being released from Torico this month is so awesome, it’s EXPLOSIVE! CAUTION!!---may cause you to SQUEEE due to OVERWHELMING cute-ness (or sing You Dropped a Bomb On Me…Baby, for DAYS)!!

BombDiggity is a 4x8 set that includes a total of 24 stamps and will sell for $18.

For my card I chose to do a monochromatic look. I just love this little gals' hair. When I was in middle school I had a big head of hair like this. When I saw this set the other thing that came to my mind was Jan Brady!! Now I want to go search for some serious '70s themed paper.

Torico has cooked up a set this month that I am sure you will be DEMANDING seconds of!! Her whimsical cakes, and adorable chefs, are sure to serve up the PERFECT birthday card for ANYONE on your birthday list! She even threw in some coffee, because that’s how we at TSG ROLL….right out of bed to the coffee pot!

A Little Treat is a 4x6 set that includes a total of 12 stamps and will sell for $15.
For my card today, I couldn't resist using this fabulous cake with this cutie. Don't you just love the floor? I had so much fun coloring both images. The hardest part was trying to decide what colors to use on the cake...I wanted to use them all!

There She Goes Release Week | Day One

Wahoo...it's release week at There She Goes!! This month, the fun will last not 3 days, but 4 days. Does Jessica ever have a line up for you. So sit back and enjoy all the eye candy.

Melyssa and her ADORABLE characters are back this month with another SUPER AWESOME set!! Whether making a card for a boy or girl, young or old, this set will be PERFECT for congratulating them on a job well done, or letting them know how you REALLY feel! Scientifically speaking, it’s the perfect SOLUTION.

Cutie Pi is a 4x8 set that includes a total of 14 stamps and will sell for $18.

For my card(s)...I had to make two! When I saw this image the first thing that came to my mind was the Star Burst Technique that I had come across about a year ago and bookmarked. Well it was just perfect! Not only that I loaded some cards to Splitcoast Stampers and it's part of this month's Fan Club!! I had a blast putting this together.

Cutie-Pi---Winslow

For my second card I couldn't resist putting this image and sentiment together. I love the colors I chose. I was blog surfing last night and I'll be darned if I can remember where I got the idea of this layout. I know I saw it - or maybe it was a combination of a few that I looked at.

I have to say Jessie (fellow DT member) unleashed the "black" in me!! Don't you just love using black on your cards - it's just a flare of sleekness.

Tuesday Morning Sketches #143

Welcome TMS fans! This week we have a wonderful sketch and sponsor - Sassy Studio Design. Thanks to Sassy for providing us with the images to play with. I got lucky and received the gorgeous Marilyn Monroe to color up!

My friend Holly said once, "Have you ever made a card that you're in love with and had to wait to share it?" Well that was me! I made this card last week and I couldn't share it - on my blog that is. I totally love this card. I worked so hard on the coloring. Heck I even did her eye makeup (I can't do my own, but I did hers). I went to YouTube to see the actual dress and saw that inside the bow and inside the slits on her dress it's also black - so sleek!!

About 4 months ago I bought some accessories from one of my favorite stamp companies and when they came in I was like, "Yuck, what I am going to do with these huge baubles?" I didn't like them at all...until Marilyn came along. When she sings, "Tiffany's, Cartier's, Black, Star, Frost Gorham, Talk to me Harry Winston tell me all about it." I knew these baubles were the perfect fit for this card.

I hope you love her as much as I do!!

Be sure to head over to TMS to check out the sketch and stop by the DT and leave them a little love.

Thanks for stopping by. Have an awesome day!!

TSG153 - Sketch

I'm headed to the busiest time of the school year - the end! You'd think it would slow down, but not true. I decided to take part of the weekend off from work and play with There She Goes challenge. I love sketches and I really enjoyed today's sketch - I'll have to file this one and use it again.

For my card I used Good Times. This is just the cutest set. It has bunnies and clocks. I never really looked at this set as an Easter set, it reminds me more of Beatrix Potter's bunnies. I enjoyed coloring this gorgeous clock and then finding the paper to match. I can't tell you who designed the paper, I won the paper on a blog candy give away - I sort of set it aside and I went through it cleaning out my craftroom. I love the paper. I love my card!!

Good-Times---Winslow

This week our challenge is brought to us by our Trendsetters! We are challenging YOU to make a card or project using the provided sketch!! We can’t wait to see what you do!

Crazy4Challenges & TSG

This week There She Goes is sponsoring Crazy4Challenges (C4C133) and there's a $25 gift certificate for one lucky winner. The challenge is to make your card pop by adding Black Cardstock. I love to add black cardstock to my cards-it's such an elegant hue.

For my card today I used Cattitude. I haven't inked up this set since I received it months ago. Isn't this cat just darling? I also like the simplicity in this card. I hope that you'll check out the C4C challenge and play along. Winning a $25 gift certificate to TSG would be awesome. Oh the stamps you could buy!!

Tuesday Morning Sketches #142

Yes, I know it was to be posted in the morning and not in the evening!! Had some issues last night and then didn't get home until late this evening.

We have a great sketch and a wonderful new sponsor - Raisin Boat. You have to check this company out. They rent and sell stamps. I think renting stamps is a cool idea - no storage!!

For my card I used a set they sent me called Cool Treats. I chose the Popsicle in this set because I have to start buying them for my end of year school party. I am in a polka dot mood if you can't tell!! I flipped the sketch because I made my image a little bigger than I should have, but I love how this card came out. I love my little suns.

I hope that you'll play along. Please be sure to stop by the rest of the talented DTs blogs you'll be amazed with what they did with this sketch. I can't wait to see what you do.

Thanks for stopping by. Have an awesome day!

Tuesday Morning Sketches #141

Good Morning TMS Fans -

Today we have a wonderful sketch and a great sponsor. Our sponsor is Digital Delights...and I got to work with this delightful Humpty Dumpty image. I love the story and when I saw the image I was too excited. I had a fun time coloring the little guy.

Okay, this was the first time really that I tried using liquid pearls...they're kinda tough! I love the effect it gave on this card. This week is also a Judged Challenge week - and it's to "Think Spring." What more "spring-y" than eggs? I pulled all the spring paper I had and I love the colors in this paper. I hope you to do.

Here's this week's sketch and don't forget "Think Spring!"

Please be sure to stop by the DT and check out their amazing cards. I can't wait to see what you come up with. Oh...head over to Digital Delights they are having an enormous sale on their digis!

SFYTT & There She Goes

I'm late!! I thought I had plenty of time to get my post up, but I got involved in a cooking show - me and cooking!!

This week There She Goes is sponsoring i(heart)2stamp ~ April Sketch For You To Try and we have a fabulous sketch to use. I chose to use the fabulous set called Every Child. I just love this set. I colored up this little cutie back at the release of this set, she just hadn't found her way to a card yet. Here she is...she is just a darling.

I really like this sketch...it's very versatile and I took a few more liberties with it!!
Thanks for stopping by. Have an awesome day. I am off to color for the day.

Tuesday Morning Sketches #140

Good Morning Bloggers/Crafters -

I just knew it was the calm before the storm. It was in the high 70s and low 80s all last week. Today, our high was a mere 45. The wind has blown in and the snow is coming!! We truly need to moisture, but geez all at once.

Anyway, today at Tuesday Morning Sketches we have a wonderful sketch from DT member, Marie. Our sponsor is Doodle Pantry. My apologies to Doodle Pantry for not getting my act together to select a digi. I was on Spring Break last week and totally didn't think about a whole lot. I'm just making the deadline as it is with my card today.

TMS-#143

Now, according to the sketch there should be two squares at each end, but remember it doesn't have to be taken literally - which only took me 3 years to learn this. I used the bow to represent the sentiment and the bottom square. I was also trying to go for a "vintage" look. I am not sure I managed it??

I chose this look because two of my favorite crafters, Heather Jensen and Beate Johns and a group of their friends have started a challenge blog of their own and their challenge this week is vintage. Their challenge blog is called Crafty Friends Challenges. Well I want to play along - I was lucky enough to play along side the two talented ladies when I guest designed at Flourishes and I love the idea of playing with them again. I selected From the Desk Of from Flourishes - I just love this set. I need to play with it more, it's just so fun to color.

I hope that you'll stop by the rest of the DT to see their fabulous creations.

I appreciate all your time and fabulous comments. Have an awesome day!
