Tuesday Morning Sketches - #47
Yahoo! I only have 3 more days (including today)! My students are more done than I am.
Well onto this week's card. The sketch is a bit challenging, but very fun. I finally openend and used, which broke my heart, a stamp set I bought maybe a year ago. I have enjoyed looking at it long enough. I have to tell you it killed me to ink it up, but I love my card. I had this vision and it came out exactly like I imagined. How often does that happen?
I tried the technique that I have seen on others' blogs. That is using nestabilities to cut a shape and leave part of that shape out. It took be stamping the image about 5 or 6 times to get it done right, but I finally did it. I just love the look. I hope you do to!
Well have a fabulous day! I hope to hear from you.

Tuesday Morning Sketches
Of course, my card is made of pinks and greens - my two favorite colors. You could say they are my staple!! I selected this beautiful image because she just screamed pink. She is also out of my comfort zone - I like flowers. I enjoyed coloring her and making her come to life. I made this card thinking I'd submit it to Mojo Monday since I did borrow their sketch. I forgot - I can't post till Tuesday. Oh well - summer break is coming soon and I'll get to play along with all the challenge blogs I want.
Thanks for stopping by. I hope to hear your opinion.

Tuesday Morning Sketches
This week is a simple sketch with a lot of possibilities. I used my newest stamp set - What's Up Buttercup. In the Mother of All Blog Hops I saw some cards where people ruffled the ribbon. Well I had to give it a try. It was neat to do this, but no matter what I did I can't get the ribbon to stay put down or in place. It keeps popping off. I used a really tacky tape, glue dots, and I put Zip Dry on it a few minutes ago - we'll see. It has a great look, but not worth this much trouble.
My card takes inspiration from Trendsetter Sandra MacLean. I saw her card and although I didn't use the layout - I loved the paper. I had selected the paper a few weeks prior to seeing her card. I only wish I could get my nesties to work. I don't think I have all the correct sizes though. I think you need to have the classic and the small sizes in order for them to "nest" together!!
Well, thanks for stopping by. I hope you join us this week.
