Tuesday Morning Sketches - #47

Yahoo! I only have 3 more days (including today)! My students are more done than I am.

Well onto this week's card. The sketch is a bit challenging, but very fun. I finally openend and used, which broke my heart, a stamp set I bought maybe a year ago. I have enjoyed looking at it long enough. I have to tell you it killed me to ink it up, but I love my card. I had this vision and it came out exactly like I imagined. How often does that happen?

I tried the technique that I have seen on others' blogs. That is using nestabilities to cut a shape and leave part of that shape out. It took be stamping the image about 5 or 6 times to get it done right, but I finally did it. I just love the look. I hope you do to!

Well have a fabulous day! I hope to hear from you.

Tuesday Morning Sketches

I hope that you are having a wonderful Tuesday Morning. I hope you join us at TMS this week. We have a recipe and a new sponsor. For this week's challenge all you need do is make a card using your favorite colors (must have 2 colors) and add glitter. This week's sponsor is Busy Beauties Botique. They are a fairly new digi stamp company, but have quite a few images to choose from.

Of course, my card is made of pinks and greens - my two favorite colors. You could say they are my staple!! I selected this beautiful image because she just screamed pink. She is also out of my comfort zone - I like flowers. I enjoyed coloring her and making her come to life. I made this card thinking I'd submit it to Mojo Monday since I did borrow their sketch. I forgot - I can't post till Tuesday. Oh well - summer break is coming soon and I'll get to play along with all the challenge blogs I want.

Thanks for stopping by. I hope to hear your opinion.

Tuesday Morning Sketches

It's another wonderful Tuesday Morning Sketches day. My favorite stamp company There She Goes is this week's sponsor. See I had a great weekend. I was able to create three cards using my favorite stamps.

This week is a simple sketch with a lot of possibilities. I used my newest stamp set - What's Up Buttercup. In the Mother of All Blog Hops I saw some cards where people ruffled the ribbon. Well I had to give it a try. It was neat to do this, but no matter what I did I can't get the ribbon to stay put down or in place. It keeps popping off. I used a really tacky tape, glue dots, and I put Zip Dry on it a few minutes ago - we'll see. It has a great look, but not worth this much trouble.

My card takes inspiration from Trendsetter Sandra MacLean. I saw her card and although I didn't use the layout - I loved the paper. I had selected the paper a few weeks prior to seeing her card. I only wish I could get my nesties to work. I don't think I have all the correct sizes though. I think you need to have the classic and the small sizes in order for them to "nest" together!!

Well, thanks for stopping by. I hope you join us this week.

TSG Mother of All Blog Hops!

Welcome to the There She Goes Mother of All Blog Hops! If you have arrived here from Donna Wardle's blog, then you are in the right spot. If not, I recommend that you start back on the There She Goes blog to get the introduction to our hop as well as the information you will need in order to enter to win some exciting prizes!

As many of you know There She Goes is one of my absolute favorite stamp companies. I absolutely jumped at the opportunity to be a part of this blog hop. I have two cards to share with you for this hop.

First up - Birdie Wishes. This stamp set is so fabulous and versatile. I found this gorgeous DP from Basic Grey and just knew I had to use it. I hope you like it!! I just love the different sentiments and all the different ways this set can be used. It's not just birds, but there are presents in the set as well.

Second - My very first purchased set...Rejuvenate. I tell you what, I am in need of some rejuvenation!! School is nearly out and I am ready for some of the 3 R's. I borrowed parts of the sketch from Mojo Monday to create this card. I had to put my math skills to work on cutting the little squares. As it turned out I cut the squares too small and had to angle the words and I thought about re-doing, but I like how it turned out.

I am the last stop on this WONDERFUL blog hop. I hope that you have enjoyed yourself and left lots of love...now don't forget to go to the There She Goes blog and add your name to Mr. Linky for your chance at winning some exciting prizes.

Tuesday Morning Sketches

It's Tuesday, and today is not only another great sketch, but it is also National Teacher Appreciation Day. I'll tell you what, I am doing the count down!! Only 16 student contact days left - yahoo!! I know those of you who are parents are praying school never ends, but I am so much in need of a break. I haven't been able to do a lot of stamping ~ I am thankful for Tuesdays and my commitment.

This card was fun to put together. I love the image. This week's sponsor is Glitterbabe's Art Shop. I found this image as one of her freebies! Isn't it just the coolest flower? I hope you'll join us this week.

Thanks for stopping by and be sure to send some thanks to the teachers in your life.
