Tuesday Morning Sketches #187

Well I am certain it's a fabulous day at Tuesday Morning Sketches, but for Tuesday in my life it's not going to be good.

It snowed like the dickens Sunday night and instead of closing or even delaying the start of school - my district opened as usual. I arrived at work Monday and the parking lot hadn't been cleared. There was about a foot of snow. I'm just glad I didn't get stuck and got the car parked. Well after school, I'm walking the kids out. As I was leaving who falls? ME!! Not once, oh no, I had to go and fall twice. The parking lot was an ice skating rink and I didn't have on my skates. Now, my knee is swollen and incredibly swollen, plus I twisted my ankle and my hip. I just feel so stupid. I was so excited to leave, I was going to the gym to exercise (which I haven't done in like in a year and a half because of my knee). So today, I am hoping I can just walk.

Enough of my woes...Today at TMS we have a favorite sponsor - Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps. I didn't request an image in time, but the rest of the DT has some fabulous images to share. For my card, I turned to There She Goes. Two weeks ago was TSG (Again!) and I had the set Sweet Pea already colored up and so wanted to put it on a card...so here it is.

I'm not much of a lavender/purple kind of girl...but I thought the coloring on these sweet flowers came out real nice. I need to give this card to Stacy, the nurse in our building. She got me home, shoveled some snow so my car could be parked and didn't leave me till she was sure that I had enough ice and ibuprofen. What a sweet lady.

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you'll stop by the rest of the DT and see there marvelous creations. Have an awesome day!

TSG196 - CASE a Trendsetter

This week at There She Goes our challenge is brought to us by Jessie! She is asking you to CASE your favorite card by a Trendsetter!! If you aren't familiar with CASEing, just pick a favorite card by a Trendsetter, and use it to create a card of your own inspired by theirs, but different in some way! To be eligible for the giveaway, create a card or project by CASEing any card by a Trendsetter. This challenge is open until the winner has been announced on the following Monday (March 4th). The winner will get a $5 gift certificate to use in the TSG Web store!

For my card I chose to CASE Melyssa Connolly and her fabulous card using the mini set Vroom. I just love her style and her coloring. This week I was working on posting the Trendies cards to Pinterest and I came across Melyssa's card and I just needed one of my own. To make mine slightly different I used patterned paper, the Swiss Dots embossing folder, and a different punch. Oh, and I could not do the sewing.

I hope you'll join us this week! Thanks for stopping by. Have a awesome day!!

By participating in this challenge, you may also find yourself in the Trendsetting Spotlight that shines on the TSG Blog every Thursday. We will be on the lookout to find challenge cards that stand out and show Trendsetting qualities. TSG stamps are not required to participate in the challenges but are appreciated :)

You do not need to have a blog to be able to participate in the TSG Challenges! You can simply add the URL link from your project after it has been uploaded to your online craft gallery. If you upload your card to an online craft gallery, please use the keyword TSG196 so we can check out your beautiful work!

Need some inspiration to help you get started? Check out these great cards made by the following Trendsetters!

There She Goes Release Week | Day One

Good Morning There She Goes Fans - it's Release Week!! Do we ever have a couple of darling sets this month. So without further ado...

Torico is at it again with her SUPER cute animals that we all LOVE and adore!  This set has some of the CUTEST bear images, and the sentiments will bring a tear to your eye. This set is the perfect mix of sentimental and super cute!

The Beary Best is a 6x8 set that includes a total of 19 stamps and will sell for $24.00.

For my card today, I had a really hard time selecting the sentiment. They are all so wonderful. The bears in this set are all so adorable. I know I love my bear collection and this stamp set has just added more to my collection. Aren't those flowers just perfect - they are part of this set as well.

Would you like to win the new The Beary Best stamp set? Here is what you need to do-visit the Trendsetter’s blogs that are participating in each of the blog hop challenges below and comment on their creations as you go. One of the Trendsetter’s blogs (from each hop day) will be randomly chosen as the ‘it’ blog and a winner will be picked using a random number generator from the comments left on that Trendsetter’s Blog Hop Challenge post.

You will not know which blog has been chosen so the more you comment on the better your chances are of winning new stamps! The Blog Hop Challenges will be open until 5 PM Eastern Time Saturday, February 23rd  with the winner being announced during the release party chat.

There She Goes (Again!) ~ Forever

I'm torn between our needing snow and my needed spring. Denver is so dry (thus my cold), and we need the snow. The weather man keeps saying we're going to get snow. It snowed on Saturday but when it hit the ground it melted. Well, in my need for spring - I contemplated the color of my carnations with the TSG stamp set Forever. This is a wonderful mini set illustrated by Torico.

For my card today. I chose to color my carnations yellow. I'm trying to challenge myself with other colors than my favorite - pink! One of my favorite color combos is black and yellow...I hope you like it!

Although I love the sentiments with this set...I chose to use a sentiment from Bloom. I do hope that you'll join TSG this week for our "flowers" challenge. Be sure to check it out!

Thanks for stopping by. Have an awesome day!

Tuesday Morning Sketches #185

Good Morning TMS Fans - well I wish I could say that my cold/flu has gone away. NOPE! I still can't break this fever and my nose is running straight down the street. I just wish I knew what I need to do to stay healthy. Getting old stinks!!

Well, this week Bugaboo is our sponsor. I didn't use one of their images, which I really like I really needed a baby card. This week is our judged challenge week with the theme being "lovey dovey." Well I'm not into lovey dovey stuff, but what's more perfect than the love of a baby. I selected a set that's newer to me from There She Goes - Tweeterpated. It's such a cute set for baby, spring, or Easter.

Our sketch this weeks was designed by DT member Laura Nehring. It's so simple and fun. I do hope you'll play along with us. Be sure to stop by the rest of the DT and check out their amazing work. Plus Sandra MacLean continues to be our Best of the Best Guest Designer.

Thanks for stopping by. Have an awesome day!

There She Goes (Again!)

Sometimes I think I like this week more than I do Release Week. To me it's like a new release all over. It's There She Goes (Again!) Week. This week is all about flowers. This month's sets are:

Bloom was one of my first sets from TSG. One of the things that attracted me to TSG were all of the flower sets. I love flowers. I have forgotten how much I love coloring and making cards with flowers. I have to say that I love this card. It definitely brightened my day with this horrible cold/flu that I have.

For my card I used this week's Mojo Monday sketch. I hope to remember to post it there!

This week's challenge at TSG is Flowers - I hope you'll stop by the TSG blog and play along.

Thanks for stopping by. Have an awesome day!!

Tuesday Morning Sketches #184

It's a wonderful Tuesday here at TMS...we have a great sponsor this week - Freckled Fawn. Be sure to check out their store. They are offering up a $20 gift card. This week's challenge although not a judged challenge week, Melissa is challenging everyone to use Washi Tape along with the sketch. Well needless to say, I have no clue what Washi Tape is, nor do I have any in my craft room. So mine will be without!

One night a few weeks back I had insomnia. I tend to surf the internet or go onto Pinterest. Well with my Smartphone, I don't even get out of bed. I came across this card and I thought I pinned it, but I didn't...my phone downloaded the photo to my phone. That means I can't give credit where credit is due. I CASEd part of this card and thought is was perfect for this sketch. My apologies to the originator - I love this card. My DPs are semi-different and their card was full of paper flowers, pins, metals...and so on. My sentiment is completely different. I guess I really didn't need to say all this since I can't seem to get the original card off my Smartphone (I think the operator needs to be smarter than the phone!!) to show you.

Oh well...onto my card. I dressed up the sketch a bit. Hope you like what I've done.

Thanks for stopping by. Have an awesome day!
