I like seeing cards where crafters have put backgrounds like clouds, leaves, etc. on their cards. I managed to do clouds, but one afternoon I was using my Cricut and thought about the negative cut that was left when I cut out the image I wanted. I thought why not use the negative to make an image. It's the same concept as making a mask or stencil. So I gave it a try and this is what I came up with. I love the subtle effect. It gives it some texture and doesn't over power the image.
I think it's just darling. I used Love Birds. I hope that you'll head over to the There She Goes blog and see the tutorial I put together.
I also used the Mojo Monday 232 sketch for the layout of my card. Thanks for the inspiration.
I can't wait to hear what you think of my card. Thanks for stopping by. Have an awesome day!!
