Tuesday Morning Sketches #89

Good Morning Crafters - Today, Melissa has a very challenging sketch and a wonderful sponsor - Tiffany Doodles. As for the sketch I think my problem was that I took it very litterally (as I do with everything)! It took me a while to put something together. I think I agonized over this card for 2-3 days.

First, the sketch. Don't let the arrows fool you. Be sure to check out what the rest of the DT did - there is some amazing inspiration there. My card, I just love this paper. I wanted to make something masculine because that was how I saw the arrows. My brother-in-law's birthday was the other day so I made this card with him in mind. I hope you like it.

Next, Melissa is looking for a couple of people to join our design team. To apply for the design team you must play along with this sketch challenge and max it out with your personal style and flair. You don't have to be a certain age to be on the design team and you don't need any previous experience. Link your entry in the InLinkz widget with DTA (design team app) behind your name. On your blog post please include a brief paragraph telling Melissa what you'll bring to the design team. Good Luck!

Thanks for stopping by. Have an awesome day!!

This is awesome Theresa. I struggled with the arrows for a while, too. Love how you used the flourish, and this image is great. Manly cards are challenging, and you rocked this one!

Hi Theresa :)

Thanks so much for you lovely comments :) The flowers were made with a Marianne Die (kind of like a wobbly spiral, so I guess easy enough to cut out by hand) and then you just roll them up from the outside in. Takes a bit of practice, but I got there! :) lol.

Anyway, your card - I know what you mean by taking things literal - I do that, but this is a fabulous interpretation of the sketch, very true to it, and a fabulously impactive card. I love the stamp and sentiment, and this is perfect for a guy card.

hugs
