Back to School

Well the summer is quickly coming to an end for me - boo hoo!! I have 2 days left before I have to return to work. Part of returning to work means a new classroom set-up. I love celebrating the children's birthdays. Last year I didn't even put their birthdays up. I'm not making that mistake this year. I spent the day making the 2nd Grade Birthday Calendar. I gleaned the idea from Close to My Heart Stamps. They made the calendar from a 12x12 and made it as family birthdays. I scoured Archiver's papers for the cardboard bottoms and cut, spliced, and taped them together to get a 15x15 template. What's going to be hard is that my class won't be finalized until close to mid-September. I made sure that the student names would easily come off. I also have other stamps that I want to use to put a emblishment that reflects the month, i.e., January - snow, December - holidays!!

Thanks for stopping by and looking. I hope you enjoy my love - scrapping!!

This would be great on my craft room wall to make a perpetual calendar of all the birthdays and anniversaries in the family so that none would be forgotten.
This is sweet, and your class is going to just love it!!! What a special teacher you are and one your kids will remember for years to come!!! GREAT JOB!!!

I just wanted to check in and see how the start of the year is going. I know how important it is to get routines going and children settled in those first few weeks. I hope all is going well!
