Stampbook Saturday

It's my last day as Trendsetter of the week. I've had a wonderful time making my projects. I appreciate all the wonderful comments you left. I hope you enjoy today's project as well.

When I opened the email with the monthly calendar and the specs sheet of the upcoming release I could hardly contain myself with the Smarty Pants stamp set. Due to illness I wasn't able to complete a card for release week, and was just too excited that I could hardly wait for today's post. The photo is of my baby cousin, Kaylee. Kaylee is lucky to have a wonderful mother whom happens to take her photo at least a hundred times a day! These photos couldn't be more perfect for this stamp set.

My project was inspired by Sandra MacLean's card.

I'll hope you'll join me next week. It's There She Goes (Again!) Week.

Have an awesome day.

ABC Friday ~ with Theresa

Continuing my Trendsetter week I have a great project to share with you today.

Although the holidays are behind us...gift giving is never behind us. With Torico's new set Sparkly & Bright I just had to put this darling girl on another project.

Isn't this just too cute? I cut the purse using my exclusive Close To My Heart Cricut Artiste cartridge. It was so easy to put together. I also cut the bow from the same cartridge. They were both fun to put together and pair with this darling little cutie. This makes for a great keepsake. Just think of all the possibilities you can do with this cute little purse.

Thanks for stopping by. Have an awesome day!

Score Lines

This is probably my favorite week as Trendsetter on the There She Goes team. I get to host the TSG blog. It began with the color challenge on Monday and today is my score lines tutorial.

One of my favorite Trendsetters is former Trendie, Silke Ledlow. I love her CAS style and because I really haven't decided on a style I tend to like to do it all...I really wanted to know how she got her score lines to show up so crisp and neat. I had a conversation with her and she shared that she used an embossing stylus versus the bone folder that comes with the Scor-Pal.

Here are the supplies you need:

A Scor-Pal and an embossing stylus.

The beauty behind the Scor-Pal are the measurements. One thing I learned from trial and error is they type of paper needed. I found that SU smooth card stock. Heavy card stock tends to crack and unless you plan on a vintage look - it doesn't look very pretty.

Once you decide upon the distance you want, I push gently on the paper and viola - gorgeous score lines.

For my card today I needed a classic Thank you card. Somehow I got "tuxedo" in my head and that's what I think this looks like. I used two TSG sets ~ Act of Kindness and Nature of Friendship

Don't those score lines add a gorgeous element? I hope you'll give it a try.

Tuesday Morning Sketches #180

Well, it's been a few months since I have posted for TMS. I needed to take a break and now I'm back. I thought for sure I was going to let it go, but how can I leave my sister?

There have been a few changes at TMS in that Cheryl has left and we picked up a new designer, Jenee.   This week we have a new sponsor - Freckled Fawn.

Melissa and I had a conversation about images and supporting the sponsor. It was decided that since I want to try and sell Close To My Heart that I would be able to use this forum to show off other stamps I love. For my card today I used two sets: Pirouette Flair and Avonlea Scrapbooking Workshop Everyday Life. The DP is from the Avonlea set. I think this came out very nicely.

Please head over to the TMS web site to check out the sketch and the gorgeous work from the DT.

Thanks for stopping by. Have an awesome day!

TSG-189 Color Challenge

This week our challenge is brought to us by ME! I am challenging YOU to make a card or project using the colors black, blue and yellow!!

For my card, there is a new teacher at my school and she just had her first baby. I made this card for her using the cutest baby set, Bit of Stardust. This set is awesome because there are stamps that don't require coloring, but if you're in the mood there are stamps that you can color as well. Isn't this baby carriage just the sweetest? I hope you'll play along with me this week.

To be eligible for the giveaway, create a card or project using this week’s challenge and then come back to the TSG Blog to add your name and a link to your project in the InLinkz that is located at the bottom of this challenge post. This challenge is open until the winner has been announced on the following Monday (January 14th). The winner will get a $5 gift certificate to use in the TSG Web store!

By participating in this challenge, you may also find yourself in the Trendsetting Spotlight that shines on the TSG Blog every Thursday. We will be on the lookout to find challenge cards that stand out and show Trendsetting qualities. TSG stamps are not required to participate in the challenges but are appreciated :)

You do not need to have a blog to be able to participate in the TSG Challenges! You can simply add the URL link from your project after it has been uploaded to your online craft gallery. If you upload your card to an online craft gallery, please use the keyword TSG189 so we can check out your beautiful work!

TSG-188 Sponging with Die Cuts

It's time for this week's challenge at There She Goes. This week’s challenge is brought to you by our trendsetter of the week, Tobi. She has challenged us to use sponging with die cuts on our cards!!

This challenge happens to be one of my favorite techniques to use on my cards. I remember the first time I did it - I was afraid I'd ruin my card...needless to say it came out just fine. I don't use this technique all the time, but I do love the effect if gives.

For my card I used a new set to me - Side by Side. With all the holiday greetings go on on FB and hearing from a lot of my friends across the United States I thought of this set right away. My colors came out more of an Autumn theme, but I don't care - I think my card is fabulous! I hope you do too!!

To be eligible for the giveaway, create a card or project using this week’s challenge (sponging with die cuts) and then come back to the TSG Blog to add your name and a link to your project in the InLinkz that is located at the bottom of this challenge post. This challenge is open until the winner has been announced on the following Monday (January 7th). The winner will get a $5 gift certificate to use in the TSG Web store!

There She Goes Release Week | Day Three

When we saw these SUPER gorgeous characters from Torico, we were instantly in love. These gorgeous girls love their retail therapy, so no matter your gift giving reason-whether it be Christmas or Birthday, they've got you covered.

Sparkly & Bright is a 4x6 set that includes a total of 12 stamps and will sell for $18.00.

I am so totally in love with this set and the three beautiful girls in the set. I debated on coloring, paper piecing, or both. I ended up doing both. I originally wasn't going to make a holiday card, but I loved the pattern I selected for her sweater...that I went with the holidays. I love how this came out. I hope you do to.

Would you like to win the new Sparkly & Bright stamp set? Here is what you need to do- visit the Trendsetter’s blogs that are participating in each of the blog hop challenges below and comment on their creations as you go. One of the Trendsetter’s blogs (from each hop day) will be randomly chosen as the ‘it’ blog and a winner will be picked using a random number generator from the comments left on that Trendsetter’s Blog Hop Challenge post.

You will not know which blog has been chosen so the more you comment on the better your chances are of winning new stamps! The Blog Hop Challenges will be open until 5 PM Eastern Time Saturday, December 22nd with the winner being announced during the release party chat.
