TSG-188 Sponging with Die Cuts

It's time for this week's challenge at There She Goes. This week’s challenge is brought to you by our trendsetter of the week, Tobi. She has challenged us to use sponging with die cuts on our cards!!

This challenge happens to be one of my favorite techniques to use on my cards. I remember the first time I did it - I was afraid I'd ruin my card...needless to say it came out just fine. I don't use this technique all the time, but I do love the effect if gives.

For my card I used a new set to me - Side by Side. With all the holiday greetings go on on FB and hearing from a lot of my friends across the United States I thought of this set right away. My colors came out more of an Autumn theme, but I don't care - I think my card is fabulous! I hope you do too!!

To be eligible for the giveaway, create a card or project using this week’s challenge (sponging with die cuts) and then come back to the TSG Blog to add your name and a link to your project in the InLinkz that is located at the bottom of this challenge post. This challenge is open until the winner has been announced on the following Monday (January 7th). The winner will get a $5 gift certificate to use in the TSG Web store!

By participating in this challenge, you may also find yourself in the Trendsetting Spotlight that shines on the TSG Blog every Thursday. We will be on the lookout to find challenge cards that stand out and show Trendsetting qualities. TSG stamps are not required to participate in the challenges but are appreciated :)

You do not need to have a blog to be able to participate in the TSG Challenges! You can simply add the URL link from your project after it has been uploaded to your online craft gallery. If you upload your card to an online craft gallery, please use the keyword TSG188 so we can check out your beautiful work!

There She Goes Release Week | Day Three

When we saw these SUPER gorgeous characters from Torico, we were instantly in love. These gorgeous girls love their retail therapy, so no matter your gift giving reason-whether it be Christmas or Birthday, they've got you covered.

Sparkly & Bright is a 4x6 set that includes a total of 12 stamps and will sell for $18.00.

I am so totally in love with this set and the three beautiful girls in the set. I debated on coloring, paper piecing, or both. I ended up doing both. I originally wasn't going to make a holiday card, but I loved the pattern I selected for her sweater...that I went with the holidays. I love how this came out. I hope you do to.

Would you like to win the new Sparkly & Bright stamp set? Here is what you need to do- visit the Trendsetter’s blogs that are participating in each of the blog hop challenges below and comment on their creations as you go. One of the Trendsetter’s blogs (from each hop day) will be randomly chosen as the ‘it’ blog and a winner will be picked using a random number generator from the comments left on that Trendsetter’s Blog Hop Challenge post.

You will not know which blog has been chosen so the more you comment on the better your chances are of winning new stamps! The Blog Hop Challenges will be open until 5 PM Eastern Time Saturday, December 22nd with the winner being announced during the release party chat.

There She Goes Release Week | Day Two

Melyssa is back today with a set that is Tooth Fairy Approved! Whether congratulating your child for losing a tooth, scrapbooking the loss of a tooth, or leaving a note for the tooth fairy, you have so many options for them all!
Tooth Fairy Approved is a 6x8 set that includes a total of 17 stamps and will sell for $24.00.

When I thought about my project one of my third graders told me she had just lost a tooth. I sent her to the nurses office to get the normal tooth brush, tooth paste and treasure box. My mind immediately went to this new fabulous set. I came up with a tooth box for my students. The top of the box fits perfectly into the bottom of the box plus I lined the box with gauze - this tooth is not going to be lost. It didn't take long to put this together - now I just need to figure how out to make it masculine as well.

Would you like to win the new Tooth Fairy Approved stamp set? Here is what you need to do-visit the Trendsetter’s blogs that are participating in each of the blog hop challenges below and comment on their creations as you go. There She Goes Release Week | Day Three

Snow Buddies, the new set from Melyssa, has SO many possible ways to be used; we can’t even begin to tell you how excited we are about it! With a whopping 57 stamps, you can build your own snowman, use one provided, or a little of both. It’s the easiest way to build a snowman, and you don’t even have to get cold to do it. ;)

Snow Buddies is a 6x8 set that includes a total of 57 stamps and will sell for $24.00.

What’s a snowman, without a SUPER cute and TOTALLY clever sentiment to go with it…well, we don’t want to know! The Snowman Sentiments set has 9 fabulous sentiments to coordinate with your Snowbuddies set, or any holiday set you want!

Snowman Sentiments is a 3x4 set that includes a total of 9 stamps and will sell for $9.00.

I adore snowmen! This set is amazing for those of you that can't get enough of snowmen. I really love how my card came out. Thanks to my friend Silke Ledlow, I asked her how she got such deep grooves when she embosses lines in her card. She let me know instead of using a bone folder she uses a stylus. What an amazing difference. I think this will become my Christmas card this year. I just love how adorable this snow - person came out! However, I think I'll replace the green polka dots with pink polka dots. I'm not a traditional Christmas color person.

Would you like to win the new Snowbuddies or Snowman Sentiments stamp sets? Here is what you need to do- visit the Trendsetter’s blogs that are participating in each of the blog hop challenges below and comment on their creations as you go. One of the Trendsetter’s blogs (from each hop day) will be randomly chosen as the ‘it’ blog and a winner will be picked using a random number generator from the comments left on that Trendsetter’s Blog Hop Challenge post.

There She Goes Release Week | Day Two

I told you yesterday that you had to wait until today to see WHY the new Holiday Cheer set was so versatile…well, wait no more! Not only is it a set that stands alone, the SUPER cute images were designed to fit into today’s set, Snow Globe! Along with a matching die, Torico has really out done herself!!

Snow Globe and Die is a 3x4 set that includes a total of 4 stamps and will sell for $29.00.

Although I completely love yesterday's set...I wanted to show just how versatile this snow globe set is. I used the dog from Snowy Days. I also have another almost complete using the penguins from Penguin Pals. How perfect is this snow globe? The globe has a die cut so that one doesn't have to cut it out, but I cleaned my craft room and I cleaned it too good because I cannot find my dies! I'm so glad I am off for the next 5 days...I need a rest!

Would you like to win the new Snow Globe and Die set? Here is what you need to do-visit the Trendsetter’s blogs that are participating in each of the blog hop challenges below and comment on their creations as you go. There She Goes Release Week | Day One

Torico is at it again, bringing us another SUPER cute holiday set to love and adore, and this one has a twist…but you will have to wait until tomorrow to see WHAT the twist is!! Just take it from me, this set is so versatile, you will be turning to it again and again for all your holiday needs! With four ADORABLE scenes, and four fabulous sentiments, you are sure to fall in love.

Holiday Cheer is a 4x6 set that includes a total of 8 stamps and will sell for $15.00.

I am totally in love with this set. It is just too adorable. You will love all the images. I selected this darling little girl. I had a great time coloring her up and putting together my card. I wish you could see the sparkle that I put into the card. I have to admit that when I put the puff paint on the hat I had never used it before. I waited and waited and nothing happened. Duh!! You need to heat it. Oh I had fun.

There She Goes (Again)!

Hello Friends,

I have been so overwhelmed with "life" - been busy with work and planning so that my students will be successful. I let go of crafting, because lesson planning takes quite a bit of time. I'm not complaining, but I really need to find a balance. I say this all the time, but I never get there.

I was so happy to sit at my craft table last night. I decided to make a CAS card - it still took me two hours. I think I hem and haw too much over the paper. Or maybe it's I get obsessed looking at the paper!!

TSG is having a sale until the 23rd...15% off. Time to stock up! This week is There She Goes (Again)!  week. We've been highlighting the following sets all week...

I chose to use Stick Together. I love snowflakes and this mini set is just so perfect. I hope you like what I have put together.

I hope you'll stop by the TSG blog and check out the Trendsetter's cards using the three sets. Be sure to head to the store and get some of stamp sets you've been wanting.

Thanks for stopping by. Have an awesome day!!

MTME - Pretty Patterns #74

This week at My Time Made Easy - Pretty Patterns we have a great sketch for you to try. I found this wonderful package of digis that I just had to have. Although the intent of the digi sets is for "fathers" I saw it completely differently. I hope you do to.

The set is called A Vintage Day for Dad. Well I'm not into dads so I would never make a card for fathers, but I love the images and I didn't necessarily see them as "dad" material. I just love how this card came out.

Be sure to stop by the MTME blog to check out the sketch and the rest of the DT work.

Thanks for stopping by.

Have an awesome day!!

Halloween Project

Afternoon Crafters -

This will be a quick post. I am working on my Halloween projects for school. I think I came up with a great project (now this was not my original idea - I saw it on Facebook or Pinterest - and I don't know who to give full credit to.)

I love the project and I used my fabulous There She Goes Halloween set called Bugs and Hisses. I also used some Silhouette cut files that Jessica provided me to try out on my new Silhouette. The popcorn box was cut from Close To My Heart's Artiste Cricut Art Cartridge.

Thanks for stopping by. Have an awesome day.

MTME - Pretty Palettes #73

Welcome Crafters -

I'm here with another fabulous color palette from My Time Made Easy. I selected an image from the digital store and I think she's adorable. She's called "Witch Way Single."

Have you figured out the color palette? Isn't this little witch adorable? There was no way I was coloring her in black. I love the "blue" I selected to complement the blue berry argyle paper. For the layout I used Mojo Monday #263

Thanks for stopping by. Have an awesome day!!

I'm still offering some blog candy - I hope you'll join me.

MTME - Pretty Patterns #73

Hello Crafters -

I was a bit late getting this post up! I had to take Tuesday off from work and now I've lost a day and thought I had one more day to get this done. I just love how this card came out. It reminds me some of the summer time I spent in Maine with a friend. The sketch is so easy, I flipped it! I hope you'll come along and play with us at My Time Made Easy.

I used Seas the Day and Seas the Day Sentiments.

Here is this weeks sketch. I can't wait to see what you do with it!

Thanks for stopping by. Have an awesome day!
