Sorry I missed last week. I am finally caught up on everything and should have a lot more time to devote to crafting - yeah! I believe I finally have my mojo back.
This week our sponsor is Lil' Inker Designs. We have a fabulous sketch from DT member Laura Nehring. I hope you'll come and join us.
For my card, I did some cleaning this weekend and found three boxes that I purchased from Taylored Expressions and just never had the opportunity to pull them out. One of them I purchased this stamp set and I totally forgot all about it. I was happy to ink up this set. Here's what I came up with.
I hope you'll take the time to visit the rest of the DT blogs to check out their gorgeous designs.
Thanks for stopping by. Have an awesome day!!

This week our challenge is brought to us by our Trendsetter of the week,
Tracy! She has challenged us to make a
card or project using something that is VERY trendy right now, wood grain!!
This is my first time using wood grain. I have paper pads that have sheets of wood grain in them, but I haven't used them. I was cleaning my craft room today and found a background stamp that is wood grain and decided to give it a go for myself. I ended up cutting up strips and stamping them because in my head I wanted to stagger the print, but it didn't come out that way. I'll just have to keep practicing. Either way, I like how my card came out. I used this fabulous set called You're a Hoot! It's a great set...be sure to check it out!
To be
eligible for the giveaway, create a card or project using this challenge, and
then come back to the TSG Blog to add your name and a link to your project in
the InLinkz that is located at the bottom of this challenge post. This
challenge is open until the winner has been announced on the following Monday (February
4th). The winner will get a $5 gift certificate to use in the TSG Web store!
By
participating in this challenge, you may also find yourself in the Trendsetting Spotlight
that shines on the TSG Blog every Thursday. We will be on the lookout to find
challenge cards that stand out and show Trendsetting qualities. TSG

only telling someone you love them, but for saying thanks from the bottom of
your heart. It could be used for so much more, too!!
Heartfelt Thanksis a 3x4 set that includes a

I love trees and this one just tickled me pink. I totally love it! I used a Deconstructed Sketch for my layout and decided to make it very clean and simple. I just adore this card.

little cherub, and all it’s adorable sayings and arrows will be PERFECT for any
Valentine card, treat, or project you can think of.
Be My Valentineis a 3x4 set that includes a total of 5 stamps and

For my card, I wish you could see the glitter that I put on the wings and the bow. I just couldn't get the shine to photograph. This little cherub is just adorable. I love how my card came out.

Whether you are sending your son, daughter, or loved one off, Torico’s
new Boot Camp stamp set is perfect for you! With the cutest boot image EVER,
and several catchy phrases you are sure to find exactly what you need for this
very occasion.
Boot Camp is a 3x4 set
that includes a total of 5 stamps and will sell for $9.00
For my card, I didn't see the boots as going off to boot camp - I saw them as walking in someone else's shoes especially with the saying I selected. What's interesting is as I started coloring the boots what came through was my father's boots. He wore a pair exactly like these and I think I managed to get all the stains highlighted just like his boots. If he were alive, I'd give him this card for Father's Day.
Steampunk is one of our FAVORITE styles here at There She Goes, so when
we saw the new Get In Gear set from Torico, we all squealed with delight. She
is so sassy, funky, and FABULOUS. Also, the gears included in this set could
TOTALLY be used for a CAS boys card, or building a background. SO versatile!
Get in Gear is a
3x4 set that includes a total of 7 stamps and will sell for $9.00
I am totally in love with this set. This girl was just so fun to color. I really worked hard on her hair. I wanted red hair. I searched out tutorials to get the right red and I love how it came out. Yes, the set comes with gears, but I had all these wonderful metal gears and I just knew they would be perfect. I just couldn't resist.

Wahoo! It's my favorite time of month again...it's There She Goes Release Week and this week promises to WOW!!
It’s no secret, we are DEFINITELY in
love with everything Torico does here are There She Goes, and we know you are,
too. This month she has honored us by creating a set that we have been begging
for…meet The Doxie with Moxie!! SUPER cute dachshunds, along with several
sentiments, outfits, and even a city scene for our more “elegant” pups, this
set is just TOO much fun.
The Doxie with Moxie
is a 4x8 set that includes a total of 32 stamps and will sell for $18.00.
When brainstorming The Doxie with
Moxie set, there was a lot of chatter about sentiments…and some of them took a
turn for the funny, but…risqué, lol! We couldn't live without them, so we
decided to create the Size Matters set. It’s not for everyone, but it’s
definitely funny!! Size Matters is a
3x4 set that includes 7 stamps for $9.00.
For my card followed the awesome sketch for this week's TSG challenge. Only I goofed and put the larger side on the left versus the right (oh well)! Isn't this doxie just the cutest? When I saw this set all I could think of is my Aunt Annie and her three little doxie's and the outfits they wear. She just lost her sister, so I'll need to send this off to her to help lift her spirits. She'll love it!

It's There She Goes (Again!) week. Today, I am showcasing a set called Special Delivery. This is a set that I just recently acquired. I had not really payed attention to this set until former Trendsetter, Corinna McGregor made a card using one of my sketches. I fell in love with the set. I was lucky enough to get Corinna to give me her original card.
One afternoon, a friend was going through my cards and saw Corinna's card on the wall and wanted it. There was no way I was giving her my card. I purchased the stamp set and CASEd Corinna's card and here is my card. Now I can give my friend my card.
This is such a great stamp set. Be sure to stop by the TSG blog to see some of the Trendsetters awesome creations.
Thanks for stopping by. Have an awesome day!!

This week our challenge is brought to us by Our Trendsetters! We are
challenging you to make a card or project using our “Love is in the Air” theme! I combined it with a great sketch from TMS. I hope you'll take a peek over at TMS for the sketch and this week's sponsor.
For my card I used the mini stamp set called Love - what a perfect set for our love is in the air theme. I am really enjoy the CAS style. It's a bit more difficult for me, but I do really enjoy the clean lines and simplicity. I just loved pairing this pink and brown together.
Be sure stop by both TMS and There She Goes to see all the wonderful inspiration from both Design Teams.
Thanks for stopping by. Have an awesome day!

It's There She Goes (Again!) week, first up is Love Birds. This is such a fun and versatile set. Be sure to check out the TSG Blog to see how former Trendsetters showcased this beautiful set. Then be sure to come back on Friday to see the current Trendsetter cards.
For my card I again decided to stick to clean and simple. I just love how this card came out. I hope you like it too. With Valentine's Day coming up this is a great set to get started on your own cards.
I'm sorry I'm making my posts so short. The room I have my computer and all my photos on is in my craftroom - which has NO heat and it's currently 3 degrees outside, therefore it's freezing in this room. I don't want to spend too much time in here. I don't want to get sick again.
Thanks for stopping by. Have an awesome day!
Recipe: Stamps: There She Goes (Love Birds) Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Copics Paper: Bazzill Basics (avalanche and romance); My Mind's Eye - Lavendar Accessories: American Crafts - ribbon
Just a quick post tonight. It's so cold here and my craft room does not get heat. I so wanted to play in here today. I have on three shirts, two pair of pants, and a scarf all so I can craft!! How crazy is that?
I was looking though the new Close To My Heart catalog and saw this fun card and just had to make it! I CASEd the ruffle cuts and the bow, I changed the stamp and bling. Isn't this just too adorable? It was so fast to put together. It's nice to put together a card in 10 minutes versus the 3-5 hours it normally takes me.
Hope you like it.
Have an awesome day ~ keep warm!!
Recipe: Stamps: Close To My Heart (D1531 - Cricut Artiste Collection Word Balloons) Paper: Bazzill Basics (white, coconut, the 4 pink's names unknown) Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black Accessories: Close To My Heart (Cricut Artiste); ribbon and rhinestones (stash)
It's my last day as Trendsetter of the week. I've had a wonderful time making my projects. I appreciate all the wonderful comments you left. I hope you enjoy today's project as well.
When I opened
the email with the monthly calendar and the specs sheet of the upcoming release
I could hardly contain myself with the Smarty Pants stamp set. Due to illness I
wasn't able to complete a card for release week, and was just too excited that I
could hardly wait for today's post. The photo is of my baby cousin, Kaylee.
Kaylee is lucky to have a wonderful mother whom happens to take her photo at
least a hundred times a day! These photos couldn't be more perfect for this
stamp set.
My project
was inspired by Sandra MacLean's card.
I'll hope you'll join me next week. It's There She Goes (Again!) Week.
Continuing my Trendsetter week I have a great project to share with you today.
Although the holidays are behind us...gift giving is never behind us. With Torico's new setSparkly & Bright I just had to put this darling girl on another project.
Isn't this just too cute? I cut the purse using my exclusive Close To My Heart Cricut Artiste cartridge. It was so easy to put together. I also cut the bow from the same cartridge. They were both fun to put together and pair with this darling little cutie. This makes for a great keepsake. Just think of all the possibilities you can do with this cute little purse.
This is probably my favorite week as Trendsetter on the There She Goes team. I get to host the TSG blog. It began with the color challenge on Monday and today is my score lines tutorial.
One of my favorite Trendsetters is former Trendie, Silke Ledlow. I love her CAS style and because I really haven't decided on a style I tend to like to do it all...I really wanted to know how she got her score lines to show up so crisp and neat. I had a conversation with her and she shared that she used an embossing stylus versus the bone folder that comes with the Scor-Pal.
Here are the supplies you need:
A Scor-Pal and an embossing stylus.
The beauty behind the Scor-Pal are the measurements. One thing I learned from trial and error is they type of paper needed. I found that SU smooth card stock. Heavy card stock tends to crack and unless you plan on a vintage look - it doesn't look very pretty.
Once you decide upon the distance you want, I push gently on the paper and viola - gorgeous score lines.
For my card today I needed a classic Thank you card. Somehow I got "tuxedo" in my head and that's what I think this looks like. I used two TSG sets ~ Act of Kindness and Nature of Friendship.
Don't those score lines add a gorgeous element? I hope you'll give it a try.
Recipe: Stamps: There She Goes (Act of Kindness & Nature of Friendship) Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black Paper: Bazzill Basics (white and raven); SU (whisper white card stock) Accessories: Ribbon (stash); Recollections (rhinestones)
Well, it's been a few months since I have posted for TMS. I needed to take a break and now I'm back. I thought for sure I was going to let it go, but how can I leave my sister?
There have been a few changes at TMS in that Cheryl has left and we picked up a new designer, Jenee. This week we have a new sponsor - Freckled Fawn.
Melissa and I had a conversation about images and supporting the sponsor. It was decided that since I want to try and sell Close To My Heart that I would be able to use this forum to show off other stamps I love. For my card today I used two sets: Pirouette Flair and Avonlea Scrapbooking Workshop Everyday Life. The DP is from the Avonlea set. I think this came out very nicely.
Please head over to the TMS web site to check out the sketch and the gorgeous work from the DT.
Thanks for stopping by. Have an awesome day!

This week our
challenge is brought to us by ME! I am challenging YOU to make a card or
project using the colors black, blue and yellow!!
For my card, there is a new teacher at my school and she just had her first baby. I made this card for her using the cutest baby set, Bit of Stardust. This set is awesome because there are stamps that don't require coloring, but if you're in the mood there are stamps that you can color as well. Isn't this baby carriage just the sweetest? I hope you'll play along with me this week.
