There She Goes (Again!)

Sometimes I think I like this week more than I do Release Week. To me it's like a new release all over. It's There She Goes (Again!) Week. This week is all about flowers. This month's sets are:

Bloom was one of my first sets from TSG. One of the things that attracted me to TSG were all of the flower sets. I love flowers. I have forgotten how much I love coloring and making cards with flowers. I have to say that I love this card. It definitely brightened my day with this horrible cold/flu that I have.

For my card I used this week's Mojo Monday sketch. I hope to remember to post it there!

This week's challenge at TSG is Flowers - I hope you'll stop by the TSG blog and play along.

Thanks for stopping by. Have an awesome day!!

Tuesday Morning Sketches #184

It's a wonderful Tuesday here at TMS...we have a great sponsor this week - Freckled Fawn. Be sure to check out their store. They are offering up a $20 gift card. This week's challenge although not a judged challenge week, Melissa is challenging everyone to use Washi Tape along with the sketch. Well needless to say, I have no clue what Washi Tape is, nor do I have any in my craft room. So mine will be without!

One night a few weeks back I had insomnia. I tend to surf the internet or go onto Pinterest. Well with my Smartphone, I don't even get out of bed. I came across this card and I thought I pinned it, but I didn't...my phone downloaded the photo to my phone. That means I can't give credit where credit is due. I CASEd part of this card and thought is was perfect for this sketch. My apologies to the originator - I love this card. My DPs are semi-different and their card was full of paper flowers, pins, metals...and so on. My sentiment is completely different. I guess I really didn't need to say all this since I can't seem to get the original card off my Smartphone (I think the operator needs to be smarter than the phone!!) to show you.

Oh well...onto my card. I dressed up the sketch a bit. Hope you like what I've done.

Thanks for stopping by. Have an awesome day!

Tuesday Morning Sketches #183

Hello All!

Sorry I missed last week. I am finally caught up on everything and should have a lot more time to devote to crafting - yeah! I believe I finally have my mojo back.

This week our sponsor is Lil' Inker Designs. We have a fabulous sketch from DT member Laura Nehring. I hope you'll come and join us.

For my card, I did some cleaning this weekend and found three boxes that I purchased from Taylored Expressions and just never had the opportunity to pull them out. One of them I purchased this stamp set and I totally forgot all about it. I was happy to ink up this set. Here's what I came up with.

I hope you'll take the time to visit the rest of the DT blogs to check out their gorgeous designs.

Thanks for stopping by. Have an awesome day!!

TSG192 ~ Wood Grain

This week our challenge is brought to us by our Trendsetter of the week, Tracy!  She has challenged us to make a card or project using something that is VERY trendy right now, wood grain!!

This is my first time using wood grain. I have paper pads that have sheets of wood grain in them, but I haven't used them. I was cleaning my craft room today and found a background stamp that is wood grain and decided to give it a go for myself. I ended up cutting up strips and stamping them because in my head I wanted to stagger the print, but it didn't come out that way. I'll just have to keep practicing. Either way, I like how my card came out. I used this fabulous set called You're a Hoot! It's a great set...be sure to check it out!

To be eligible for the giveaway, create a card or project using this challenge, and then come back to the TSG Blog to add your name and a link to your project in the InLinkz that is located at the bottom of this challenge post. This challenge is open until the winner has been announced on the following Monday (February 4th). The winner will get a $5 gift certificate to use in the TSG Web store!

By participating in this challenge, you may also find yourself in the Trendsetting Spotlight that shines on the TSG Blog every Thursday. We will be on the lookout to find challenge cards that stand out and show Trendsetting qualities. TSG stamps are not required to participate in the challenges but are appreciated :)

You do not need to have a blog to be able to participate in the TSG Challenges! You can simply add the URL link from your project after it has been uploaded to your online craft gallery. If you upload your card to an online craft gallery, please use the keyword TSG192 so we can check out your beautiful work!

There She Goes Release Week | Day Four

It's the last day of the release and I totally love this new set. I hope that you have all had a great time checking out this month's sneaks.

Our final set for this month was designed by our AMAZING owner, Jessica Knutsen. This gorgeous tree with heart shaped leaves is perfect for not only telling someone you love them, but for saying thanks from the bottom of your heart. It could be used for so much more, too!!

Heartfelt Thanks is a 3x4 set that includes a total of 5 stamps and will sell for $9.00.

I love trees and this one just tickled me pink. I totally love it! I used a Deconstructed Sketch for my layout and decided to make it very clean and simple. I just adore this card.

Would you like to win the new Heartfelt Thanks stamp set? Here is what you need to do- visit the Trendsetter’s blogs that are participating in each of the blog hop challenges below and comment on their creations as you go. What a fabulous release this has been - heh? Well today is just as awesome and I can't wait for tomorrow.

Just in time for Valentine’s Day, we have a SUPER cute set from Torico this month called Be My Valentine. This cute little cherub, and all it’s adorable sayings and arrows will be PERFECT for any Valentine card, treat, or project you can think of.

Be My Valentine is a 3x4 set that includes a total of 5 stamps and will sell for $9.00.

For my card, I wish you could see the glitter that I put on the wings and the bow. I just couldn't get the shine to photograph. This little cherub is just adorable. I love how my card came out.

There She Goes Release Week | Day Two

I am so excited about today's sneak...

Whether you are sending your son, daughter, or loved one off, Torico’s new Boot Camp stamp set is perfect for you! With the cutest boot image EVER, and several catchy phrases you are sure to find exactly what you need for this very occasion.

Boot Camp is a 3x4 set that includes a total of 5 stamps and will sell for $9.00

For my card, I didn't see the boots as going off to boot camp - I saw them as walking in someone else's shoes especially with the saying I selected. What's interesting is as I started coloring the boots what came through was my father's boots. He wore a pair exactly like these and I think I managed to get all the stains highlighted just like his boots. If he were alive, I'd give him this card for Father's Day.

Steampunk is one of our FAVORITE styles here at There She Goes, so when we saw the new Get In Gear set from Torico, we all squealed with delight. She is so sassy, funky, and FABULOUS. Also, the gears included in this set could TOTALLY be used for a CAS boys card, or building a background. SO versatile!

Get in Gear is a 3x4 set that includes a total of 7 stamps and will sell for $9.00

I am totally in love with this set. This girl was just so fun to color. I really worked hard on her hair. I wanted red hair. I searched out tutorials to get the right red and I love how it came out. Yes, the set comes with gears, but I had all these wonderful metal gears and I just knew they would be perfect. I just couldn't resist.
