There She Goes Inspiration Challenge TSG107

It's time for a fantastc challenge at the There She Goes blog!

Tammy, this week’s Trendsetter of the week has chosen a beautiful photo as inspiration for this week’s challenge. The beautiful, bright colored flowers surrounding the soft, subtle Bluebird makes for a winning combination!

I needed a special thank you card for my wonderful volunteer. It's the last week she'll be coming to my class (until next year, anyway). I fell in love with this picture. My problem is I can't tell if the color is pink or red! So I opted to go for red. When I saw this image I immediately saw red roses. My volunteer was kind enough to thank me with a beautiful miniture red rose bush. Now, I can give her red roses back.

For my card I used not one, but three There She Goes stamp sets: Birdie Wishes, Act of Kindess (tree), and Sweat Pea (sentiment). This is why I love TSG because all the sets can be mixed and matched. I hope my card inspires you in some way. I appreciate your coming by.

To be eligible for the giveaway, you are to create a card inspired by Tammy’s photo, and then come back to the TSG Blog to add your name and a link to your project in the InLinkz that is located at the bottom of this challenge post. This challenge is open until the winner has been announced on the following Monday. The winner will get a $5 gift certificate to use in the TSG Web store!

By participating in this challenge, you may also find yourself in the Trendsetting Spotlight that shines on the TSG Blog every Thursday. We will be on the look out to find challenge cards that stand out and show Trendsetting qualities. TSG stamps are not required to participate in the challenges but are appreciated :)

You do not need to have a blog to be able to participate in the TSG Challenges! You can simply add the URL link from your project after it has been uploaded to your online craft gallery. If you upload your card to an online craft gallery, please use the keyword TSG107 so we can check out your beautiful work!

Tuesday Morning Sketches #93

Okay, I must remember that when going outdoors I have to wear sunscreen!! Took the students to the Botanic Gardens today and I wore sunscreen, but no hat and I am burnt to a crisp. We have another field trip scheduled for Wednesday, but it's only going to be 56 degrees and I'll just continue to smear on sunscreen and remember I only have 14 more days to go and then it's my break - YEAH!!

Today's sketch is awesome! As well as this week's sponsor - Sassy Studio Designs. She has some "hot" digis. I checked out her movie section which happens to be one of my favorite things. I love going to the movies. I had a hard time trying to decide which digi I wanted to select for my project. Once you go to their store you'll see what I mean.

I really love how this project came out. There's only one thing I wish that I understood how to do...the original dress is ivory lace. I think it would be totally cool if I could figure out how to put lace on this image. The image of course would have to be much bigger. It was hard enough cutting the image out let alone cutting lace to fit on the dress itself. One day over my break I'll have to look to see how I can add lace to a card....hmmm what a great challenge that would be.

My Fair Lady was a fabulous movie. I just love Audry Hepburn. I love this image. Now I'll have to get our sponsor to make a Breakfast at Tiffanys. I hope you liked my card. I love hearing from you - so please leave me a little love!!

Have an awesome day!

The Mother of All Blog Hops

Welcome to the 2nd Annual Mother of All Blog Hops sponsored by There She Goes Clears Stamps!   If you’ve arrived here from Julie's amazing post, then you are in the right spot!  If not, you will want to start back on the There She Goes team blog in order to find out what you need to do to be eligible for the prizes being offered!

Being a part of this blog hop is such an honor for me. I love TSG stamps and all the versatility they offer. One of my absolute favorite sets (of course all of them are my favorite sets) is Believe in You. Although it is the most wonder school set on the market - I chose to showcase how versatile the sets are. Because it's mother's day weekend I made another mother's day card for another friend. She selected the colors because they are her mother's favorite. She loved the sentiment I used because she said it was the epitome of her mother.

I hope that you have enjoyed the blog hop thus far...but it's time to move onto one of my favorite TSG Trendsetters. It absolutely gives me please to send you onto the amazingly talented Jodi.

Thanks for stopping by. Have an awesome day!

Mother's Day

Hello Crafters - I can't believe it, three cards in one week!!

I am not much into mother's day, and when I was showing my classroom assistant my cards she asked if I would make her a mother's day card. I was honored. She's the first person who's ever asked me to make anything.

The set I used here comes from Close to My Heart. I totally don't get any credit for the design. They had a small flyer and this beautiful card was showcased. I loved it the second I saw it and finally had a reason to CASE it. I did do a few things different -- I patiently cut the antenna of the butterfly. Their picture cut them off and I just couldn't see that because they are so elegant looking. I used a different background paper and my card is a different size. I changed the sentiment - I used the word "Mother," and I added the pearls. Either way, I think the card is stunning.

I just love the dress dummy (I know they have an official name - I just don't know what it is). It does remind me of my mother, she had one when I was a kid. Normally I don't post cards that I CASE, but this one is just so beautiful that I had to share.

Thanks for stopping by. Have an awesome day!

Tuesday Morning Sketches #92

It's a beautiful Tuesday in Colorado and it's another wonderful sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches. I get to take credit for today's sketch. Melissa has asked the DT to come up with a sketch or two - to make us really think!! I wanted something simple, so that one can make it simple or over-the-top. Today our sponsor is StampFairy. Guess what? I got a printer and I was able to select this darling digi to play with. Be sure to check out their store.

I agonized over the colors to use in this card. I wanted a total pink card, but pink has nothing really to do with spring - other than flowers. I wanted yellow because I love the rain suits that are yellow. Well, I decided to just combine pink and yellow together. I thought the colors matched well. I really took my time when it came to coloring...I pulled out my watercolor brush. I just relaxed and enjoyed painting.

Now, you notice the little water drops on the white card stock...believe it or not I cut each of of those little babies out. When I realized I couldn't set my image in the angle on the sketch, I cut her out, but in the process I lost the rain drops and I love the rain drops. I tried drawing them, but they came out too big. So I put on my magnifying glasses and cut away. I think it was worth it! I hope you do too.

Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you have an awesome day!

Fantastic Announcement

I am so excited to make today's announcement. I have been sitting on this information for a couple of months now and normally I can't keep secrets, but I held this under wraps. As many of you know I am a HUGE fan of There She Goes Clear Stamps. I have been a fan of theirs for nearly two years. I adore Jessica, her stamps, and I love the Trendsetters.

I am excited to announce that for May and June I get to be a Guest Trendsetter!! (I hope that I didn't break your ear drum from my screaming so loud with excitment). I am so happy that I was asked and so very honored. I amongst some of the most talented women in the crafting industry and I consider myself very lucky. I hope that I do TSG proud!

Onto my first card...I selected a wonderful set called Love Birds and the sentiment is from Everyday Greetings. I absolutely love bird cages, I think there is something unique about them. I just had to use it. I adore the heart in the middle of the cage. The rest of the set is absolutely adorable...be sure to check it out.

I hope that you have an awesome day!

Tuesday Morning Sketches #91

It's another wonderful Tuesday morning at Tuesday Morning Sketches. This week Melissa has a great sketch. I challenge everyone to not make it a Christmas card! When I first looked at the sketch it screamed Christmas...but I was determined to make something else.

I really like how my card came out. I hope that someday I can make a card and it not take several hours. Watercoloring the apple was easy, cutting it out was simple. It was pulling the paper and the embelishments together that I managed to tear my entire craft room apart and go through every sheet of paper and every embelishment I have. I have so much stuff, but it seems all I want to do is buy more and more stuff. What an addiction we/I have!!

I used a stamp set called Fruitful Delight from Close to My Heart. I really like this set. I have been a bit intimidated by the other fruits...I made a card with the cherries, but never the apple, the strawberries, or the pear. I think coloring a pear would be hard. This summer when I am off I hope to go to a watercoloring class to learn some techniques. The flourishes and scallops I used are not stamps, but rub-ons. I have never liked rub-ons, but CTMH has a good quality rub-on. Another idea using these rub-ons would've been to make coffee cups!!

Thanks for stopping by. I do hope that you'll tell me what you think of my card. Have an awesome day!
